2nd July 2009, Trial Performance‘s Honda DC5 Type R did a final dyno tuning. The car is preparing for the testing on 7th July 2009 at Sepang F1 Circuit. The car is powered by Hondata ECU. At 9.30pm, the car finally did all the power check. Now we will wait for the virgin run on 7th July. We are appreciated and thank for the Hondata tuner Edmund and Ricky, and also GT Auto’s free dyno.

7th July 2009, 8.30pm  Trial Performance’s project car Honda DC5 Type R did a virgin run at Sepang F1 circuit, the car pilot by Wan. We only target to do 2:45’ for this testing, because of due to street type suspension, body weight and used tyre. However, we managed to get 2:41’ after the testing, it was more than our expectation. We got some important data and feedback. Wan and the Hondata Tuner, Edmund also satisfied the testing result although we only did 12 laps on that day. The car is powered by Hondata ECU, Jun camshaft, J’s Racing LSD, Power Enterprise Injector, others still remain stock and standard. Hondata ECU is great for the Honda B series and K series engines; it is stable and reliable programmable ECU. This ECU not only for the race car but also recommended for the street car.We will continue to do some R&D works for this car, and get the perfect set up and power before we participate any race.

 

21st July 2009

Trial Performance DC5 finally get the carbon fibre door panel, and the Mugen N1 absorber. Hopefully the car will get ready for the month end testing.

Trial Performance would like to thanks THW Auto Industires's Andrew and Ah Wai, they both are Honda 'sifu', they provided some useful technical advise to us. They are friendly, helpful and professional. They have a lot of experiences in AFOS (Asia Touring Car Championship), Macau GP, and other Local and Asia races. Trial Performance wishes them all the best.

Last 2 weeks, weather fair, 9am-12 noon,We shared the testing with the Lotus track day. Trial Performance Honda DC5 race car is carried out some testing at Sepang Circuit again, the car run well and consistent although we facing some understeer and traffic, we satisfied to achive our time 2.35'. We used the 215/ 17" full slick race tyres with original DC5 wheel 7" width for the testing. We expect if you use Michelin full slick with wheel 8.5" or 9" width, the car can give our timing below 2:30', we are looking forward for next testing.

Trial Performance Racing Team has a new MME 12 hours project for Year 2010, this year we are planning to use the Toyota Altezza to participate the MME 12 hours Endurance Race.This car just brought in from Japan, but the car still has to carry some research and development before the race.

On 17th Jan 2010, We did a first testing at Sepang F1 circuit, we are very satisfying the timing and the car handling. At the end of the day, we got a very good timing for this virgin test run. On 23rd Jan 2010, we did another testing at Sepang circuit but we failed to get any timing, because one of the fuel pump failed. Now we will waiting for another test day after we solved the problem.
